Obituary

B. Wayne Boyd, 95, of Pyrmont, died Sun.-Sept. 13, 2015 at 2:10pm, at St. Mary Healthcare Center, in Lafayette. He was born Oct. 29, 1919 in Lincoln, NE, to the late Martin & Verna Beahm Boyd. His marriage was to M. Joan Vore in Lafayette, on Nov. 4, 1956, and she survives. He was a 1937 graduate of Monitor High School. He farmed, and sold A.O. Smith Harvestores in Silver Lake, IN; British Columbia, Canada; & Washington State; he also sold Moor Mans Nutritional Supplements for many years too. He moved back to Indiana from Oregon in 1990. He was a member of the North Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church near Pyrmont. He loved to farm, enjoyed woodworking, writing poetry, and loved to sing. He loved to read his bible, and had the love of Jesus in his heart. He dearly loved his wife and children, his grand & great grandchildren, his sisters, extended family and many friends. Surviving: wife-M. Joan Boyd of Pyrmont; his children: Dennis & Joretta Boyd of Indianapolis, Jonathan & Carmen Boyd of Cutler, Melanie & Andrew Albers of Harrison, AR, Martin & Brenda Boyd of Rossville, Anita & David Bowling of Monmouth, OR; sisters: Mary Lois & Melvin Miller of Buck Creek, Esther Koble of Flora. 12 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren survive. Preceded in death by a son Michael; grandson's Calvin & John; inf. sister Beulah; brother Lawrence. Services: Friends may call Wednesday from 3-5 & 6-8pm at the North Fork Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Pyrmont. Funeral service there Thursday at 10am, with home brethren officiating.
