Anita Jean Hoehne 93 of Lafayette, Indiana passed away peacefully at her home Friday evening February 25,2022.

She was born on October 17, 1928 in Twelve Mile, IN; the daughter of Chester and Blanche Carson Easter.  She was married to Lowell Hoehne on January 4, 1948 in Twelve Mile who proceeded her in death on November 6, 2010.

Anita was a homemaker and farmer's wife in Fulton, IN for 53 years.  She graduated from Twelve Mile High School. She was accomplished artist of oil paintings, taught art classes, and sold her paintings at Brown County Art Barn for over 20 years.  She was also very active in her church and community.   Anita enjoyed her garden, canning, sewing, and flowers.  She was a faithful member of Fulton Baptist Church for over 50 years and later attended Faith Church in Lafayette.

Anita is survived by her daughters Ruthann Rudicel of Lafayette and Beth Fretz, Greencastle, PA; her son John Hoehne, wife Cathy, Columbus IN;  grandchildren  Mike Rudicel, wife Sheri, Peru; Joy Spitznogle, fiancé Dereck Wiggs, Flora; Jill Taylor, husband Jason, Denver, CO; Mark Rudicel, wife Jamie, Flora; Rachel Gannon, husband Andy, Flora; Joshua Fretz, wife Lexi, Greencastle, PA; Matthew Hoehne, wife Katie, Lexington, KY; Amber Silberman, husband Brian, Lexington, KY; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother Fred Easter of Twelve Mile.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Saturday-March 5 at Abbott Funeral Home Inc., in Delphi, IN with Rev. Bruce Russell and Pastor Dustin Folden officiating.
