Amelia Tun Canul, 75, of Delphi, passed away unexpectedly from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident in rural Tippecanoe County, on Saturday-November 18, 2023, at 10:14pm. She was born on September 7, 1948, in Tunkas, Yucatan, Mexico, to her late parents Felipa Canul & Miguel Tun. Her marriage was to Angel Benjamin Pech Canul in Delphi, on June 17, 2002, and he survives. Amelia was a homemaker. She was baptized into the Roman Catholic Faith and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi. She loved to sew, and made many of her children's clothing, and her grandchildren too. She loved to cook and feed any who showed up at her house. She always had a big garden and loved to incorporate what she grew into the wonderful dishes she would make. She always planted many flower gardens around her house and kept them weeded and clean. She enjoyed dressing up, and putting on her jewelry, music and dancing. She had a generous heart and was always sharing food or anything someone else would need. She dearly loved her husband, children & grandchildren. And enjoyed being with them for any occasion. Surviving: husband-Angel B. Pech Canul of Delphi, daughter-Wendy G. Pech Tun of Flora, son-Jorge D. Pech Tun his wife Graciela Vasquez of Delphi, son-Angel Benjamin Pech Canul of Delphi, daughter-Ruby G. Pech Tun of Tunkas, Yucatan, Mexico. 4 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren survive. Preceded in death by 3 brothers & 2 sisters. Services: Visitation will be Wednesday from 11am until her funeral service at 1pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Pastor Pedro Corea officiating.
