Alexander Thomas Archibeque, 67, of Delphi, passed away Thursday-October 30, 2024, at 8:17pm, at IU Health Arnett Hospital. He was born on September 17, 1957, in Denver, CO, to the late Eugene Valentine Archibeque & Juanita Caroline Purdue. His marriage was to Lourdes Barrientos Hernandez, in Denver, CO, on April 9, 2001, and she survives. He graduated from High School in Denver. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, stationed in Oakland, CA, and Korea, serving 3 years before being honorably discharged. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi. He and his family moved to Delphi from Denver on Nov. 22, 2007. He formerly worked at IPC in Delphi on the production floor and in security, and at Star Furniture in Lafayette. While living in Denver, he was in the carpentry trade. He made furniture, and custom kitchen cabinets he would install for his clients. Alex liked to fish and go hiking in the mountains when they lived in CO. He enjoyed crafts, making belts, jewelry and bracelets. He loved to cook for his family, especially holiday meals and always made Thanksgiving dinner for them all. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, never meeting a stranger. He enjoyed traveling with his family too. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family with all his heart and enjoyed being with them for any occasion. They were his life. Surviving: wife-Lourdes Barrientos Hernandez of Delphi, daughter-Maria Carrasco Barrientos & Ricardo Salcedo of Lafayette, son-Alex Archibeque of CO, brothers-Jose & Jim, sister-Kathy, 2 special cousins Michael & Eduardo. 3 grandchildren survive. Services: Visitation will be Wednesday from 10am to 1130am at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Funeral Mass at 12pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Delphi, Fr. Chris Miller officiating.
